Tour itinerary (in brief)

Leaving the medieval city of Kilkenny, We will pass through Bennetsbridge and Thomastown to reach our first stop at Jerpoint Abbey, a ruined Cistercian abbey, founded in the second half of the 12th century. Guided tours are available and there is also a visitors centre.

Dunbrody Famine Ship
Our next stop will be the port town of New Ross (Wexford) located on The River Barrow where you will have time for browsing round the town for shopping and lunch. The Dunbrody Famine ship in New Ross is an authentic reproduction of an 1840’s emigrant vessel.
Next is visit to The JFK Arboretum, which is dedicated to the memory of John Fitzgerald Kennedy. The Arboretum is a plant collection of international standing and spanning 623 acres.
Hook Head Lighhouse
We will continue heading south to the very tip of Hook head to visit Hook Lighthouse which is about 800 years old making it the oldest intact operational lighthouse in the world. The Light house has guided tours, a gift shop and cafe.
Finally we will head for The Viking city of Waterford and enjoy a tour of the city which would include Waterford Crystal, Reginalds tower, The Bishops Palace, Christ Church Cathedral and more.
